We were fought by men and very fast
I think interviews with exhausted athletes right after they've just won a grueling race are always hilarious. They never have anything coherent to say, but they have to stand in front of the camera and breathlessly give commentary anyway. When they have to do it in a language that is not their native tongue, it's even more challenging. So I submit the following poem which I read and enjoyed the other day.
By popular demand, I am reposting a “poem” created by a collection of sentences taken from a variety of press releases from non-English speaking teams that I originally presented during Live Updates from the 2010 Tour de France:
We were fought by men very fast
My sensations are good.
We were fought by men very fast.
Definitely not could do more
I had to do much effort to place well .
I have it quite touched and that I’m still hot.
But yes, I had good legs
It is happy when the excellent team manager
said that the beautiful state of many men’s team.
Sponsors are proud
to these runners
who are very competitive in all
situations.
Because all riders are turned to me
and struggling to make things right.
My sensations are good.
